About Hobo Haven Rescue Inc
Hobo Haven Rescue is located in St Jacobs, ON Canada
We do not have a shelter facility to visit. We operate 100% with foster families who each foster our dogs in their own loving homes during their time with us.
Hobo Haven Rescue does not receive any funding, we operate entirely as a volunteer not for profit rescue, reliant entirely on fundraising efforts in order to provide the massive amount of vetting dogs in our care often require.
We are an ethical, reputable rescue offering vet references and rescue references for peace of mind.
All dogs are fully vetted, incl surgeries and testing needed, prior to adoptions.
Each adoptive family is very stringently screened to ensure the dog's best fit in a forever family.
our inspiration
Hobo Haven Pet Rescue was inspired by an abandoned dog who was dumped in our area and whom we nicknamed Hobo.
Due to a lack of resources, Hobo was surrendered to a local shelter who euthanized him due to a simple ear infection.
Hobo Haven team members vowed to work hard to assist helpless, unclaimed strays to recover and find amazing new forever homes.
it takes a village
We are all volunteers using our own personal funds to provide medical care, food, supplies, transport, and whatever necessary to assist the many homeless pets in our community.
We do not receive any financial assistance or support from government or local agencies. We rely entirely on donations to be able to continue helping more.
